MINUTES OF THE DEERHAVEN PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 AT 5:00 P.M.
BLUE LAKE CLUBHOUSE
The meeting was called to order by Chair Renea Latham who introduced the newly elected Directors. Randy Delmastro was re-elected for another term and Diane Dietert, Pam Hutchins and Roxanne Silva were elected for their initial terms. Remaining Directors are Mark Malcom and JoAnn Rosch. Renae has agreed to serve the remainder of Mike Hancock’s term which will end June of 2013. New Park Commissioner is Eldon Tarver. Thanks were given to Directors, Officers and Commissioners going off the Board for their service. A special thanks went to Martha Duffin who works tirelessly on email notification of special events, changes in status for residents and any important notices regarding water interruptions, road conditions, etc. Ken Percival also puts in many hours working on the POA website inputting information of importance or information needed by the residents and property owners. Ken and Randy Delmastro have completely redesigned and set up the new website recently. Many thanks to them for this tireless work. Thanks also to Sandi Becraft, our Vice-President, for stepping in to handle the President’s functions in Ron Estes absence. The President’s position is open and we would encourage anyone who may be interested to call someone on the Board to discuss this. Renea recognized Randy and Robin Delmastro for their hard work in organizing the dinner and doing a beautiful job of decorating the dining room.
Sandy Becraft, Vice-President, recognized Chairman of the Board Renea Latham for her hard work and leadership over the past two years, pointing out that the Board had to deal with several important issues and decisions in addition to normal Board business.
The Treasurer’s Report was given by Tom Burt, Treasurer, who reported the balance at $55,000. The entire report is available by request.
Joe Becraft reported on the WCID project, pointing out that there was a mail-out in May informing the members of the progress and status and how it will affect property owners. He pointed out that there is an urgent need for members to serve on the Board of Directors for the WCID. There is a public meeting planned for October prior to the bond election tentatively set for November 6, 2012. Joe provided a large chart as a visual of the project scope and timeline and also copies of the mail-out for anyone who missed theirs. Joe invited anyone with questions to approach any WCID Board member after the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned by Chair Latham who invited everyone to enjoy their dinner and conversation.
Respectfully submitted by,
Pauline Tarver, Secretary
Deerhaven POA
